Paediatric dentists or pedodontists work with children from infancy through young adulthood. They monitor growth and development of jaws and primary (milk) teeth since these are pre-requisite for development and growth of actual teeth at later stages. They formulate treatment plans to restore oral health of paediatric patients, and help them appreciate good oral health from an early age. They perform surgical as well as non surgical treatment procedures on such patients under various level of sedation (minimal, moderate, or deep) and general anaesthesia. Recently, Invisalign has also launched (Invisalign First) meant for growth modification, mandibular advancement in early ages for children of ages (6-10 years)
